Interested in growing your own produce and plants, but don’t have space in your backyard? Intrigued by the farm-to-fork concept? If so, Fishers Parks & Recreation invites you to participate in the Community Garden Program (CGP).
The Community Garden Program (CGP) invites residents to rent a 10’ x 10’ plot of land at Cyntheanne Park to garden for the season for $30. Conventional and organic options are available, as well as a limited amount of raised 4’ x 9’ beds. Gardens open Saturday, April 18.
CGP is an ongoing partnership between residents and Fishers Parks & Recreation, and while gardeners are responsible for all prep, maintenance, upkeep, and winterization, resources and support are available to help!
Due to popular demand, there is a limit of one garden plot per household until March 31. After April 1, gardeners can rent 1 additional plot if there are still garden plots available.
The Seed Library is a collection of open-pollinated and heirloom seeds (vegetables, herbs and flowers) that any resident of Hamilton County with a library card can borrow to plant at home.
Seeds are available to check out starting March 2. Learn more.
