Creamy garlic and herb dressing
Why did you start your business?
"I am a certified executive chef and have been in the industry for 30 years. I run the educational program at Ivy Tech and became more interested in the nutritional value of products. When shopping at the grocery store for a marinade for grilling, I couldn’t find a clean product. My oldest son recommended that I could solve that problem by making my own products."
What products do you sell and what is your most popular product?
"We have six flavors, made with all-natural ingredients. Each batch produces low-sodium, low-carb, gluten- and dairy-free dressings and marinades. Our most popular product is our sugar-free creamy garlic and herb dressing. We recently added an avocado lime flavor and a sesame ginger flavor."
What is an interesting fact about your business?
"We are a family business. I produce the product, my wife labels the product, and my oldest son has taken over our online sales and manages the marketing."
What is your favorite part of the Farmers’ Market?
"The market is a testing ground for new products. We also learn about what flavors our customers are looking for. The social interaction, not only with their customers but with other market vendors, is so valuable. We appreciate and support each other. It’s a true sense of community. The market allows for a relational shopping experience versus transactional at the grocery store."
What else do you want customers to know about your business?
"We offer a healthy alternative for dressings and marinades. All products are locally produced, and the business is family owned."
